With a commitment to supporting educational success and fostering a sense of confidence and belonging, Gear Up For Greatness aims to ensure that every student has the essential tools and resources needed to excel in their academic journey.
The primary objective of Gear Up For Greatness Backpack Drive is to equip students with high-quality backpacks filled with school supplies to support their learning and development. By providing students with the tools they need to succeed, we aim to alleviate financial burdens on families, boost students' academic performance, and instill a sense of pride and readiness for the school year ahead. Our initial “Gear up for Greatness” will service K-8 students at Ka Waihona o ka Na'auao Public Charter School. We would then duplicate this process to all schools on the Leeward coast of Oahu.

Gear Up For Greatness organizes an annual backpack collection drive to gather new backpacks and school supplies for students in need. Through the generous donations of community members, businesses, and organizations, we can ensure that every student receives a backpack filled with essential items to kickstart their academic year.

Backpack Distribution Events
Our backpack distribution events provide students with the opportunity to choose a backpack that suits their personal style and preferences. Each backpack is carefully filled with grade-appropriate school supplies, such as notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, calculators, and more to support students in their learning endeavors.

Community Engagement
The Backpack Drive program encourages community engagement through volunteer opportunities, fundraisers, and awareness campaigns. By involving community members in the support of students, Gear-Up For Greatness fosters a strong sense of collaboration, unity, and collective responsibility for the success of young learners in our community.
